What causes a dog’s eyes to be red?
Foreign matter such as dust and hair enters the dog's eyes, which can irritate the eyes and cause eye redness. It is recommended to flush the eyes with saline to flush out the foreign matter. Dogs suffering from inverted eyelashes can also irritate the eyes and cause redness. It is recommended to remove them with tweezers or perform surgery.

Dogs infected with canine distemper virus, mycoplasma and other pathogens can also cause eye inflammation, resulting in red eyes. If there is inflammation in the eyes, the dog should be given eye drops to reduce inflammation, inhibit bacteria and sterilize, and keep the eyes moist.

The nasolacrimal ducts of short-nosed dogs are relatively short. If there are more eye secretions and the nasolacrimal ducts are blocked, inflammatory products will increase.
