Do mosquitoes bite dogs?
Mosquitoes will bite dogs, and mosquitoes will bite many mammals, all of which suck blood. Families with pets can use mosquito repellent lamps for children to repel mosquitoes, or mosquito repellent liquid for pregnant women, which is safer and contains pyrethroids. Make sure to close doors and windows at home in the evening to prevent mosquitoes from entering. Remember not to use disc mosquito coils as your dog will be poisoned.

Only female mosquitoes suck blood, not males. Female mosquitoes must feed on blood in order for their ovaries to develop and reproduce. Female mosquitoes usually start sucking blood 2-3 days after emerging. Various factors such as temperature, humidity, and light can affect the blood-sucking activity of mosquitoes.
