Will a female cat still go into heat after being neutered?

Generally speaking, female cats will not go into heat after being neutered. Generally, when pet hospitals perform sterilization operations on cats, their uterus and ovaries are removed or the testicles are removed directly. Without the uterus, ovaries, and testicles to secrete sex hormones, cats will naturally no longer be in heat. After cats are sterilized, they will no longer have the consciousness to mate. However, female cats that have just undergone surgery will have a slight estrus because a small amount of hormones will remain in their bodies, but the hormones will disappear soon, so there is no need to worry too much.

Precautions for sterilizing female cats:

1. After the female cat is sterilized, postoperative care must be strengthened. In the first three days after the operation, you need to inject anti-inflammatory drugs or inject anti-inflammatory injections in the hospital to prevent inflammation of the wound. The female cat's surgical wound also needs to be disinfected every day.

2. After the sterilization operation, the female cat’s activities need to be restricted to avoid dehiscence of the surgical wound of the female cat due to extensive movement.

3. It is recommended to feed the female cat sterilization prescription food after surgery to prevent the female cat from being overweight due to reduced hormone secretion and reduced exercise after sterilization.
