Causes of red skin in dogs
1. Yeast infection
If the puppy keeps scratching its ears and licking its paws, it is convenient. Take it to the pet hospital for a check-up to see if it is infected. Puppies with yeast infections will be angry, itchy, and have skin discoloration and loss for no reason.
2. Bacterial infection
Another common bacterial infection is pyoderma. Pyoderma is common in puppies. Puppies with pyoderma will develop pustules. Over time, the pustules will rupture and then scab. Generally, the pustules will grow on the abdomen where there is little hair or hair has been lost.
3. Seborrheic dermatitis
Seborrheic dermatitis will cause the puppy’s skin and hair to become very greasy and accompanied by dandruff shedding. This disease has certain symptoms. It is hereditary, and some puppies will develop seborrheic dermatitis at a certain age until they are old.
4. Allergic skin diseases
Some puppies will have allergic reactions to toiletries and food. At the same time, the surrounding environment can also stimulate the occurrence of allergic skin diseases in puppies, such as Pollen, mosquito bites, etc. A puppy with atopic dermatitis will scratch constantly. If you look at the area where it keeps scratching, you will find a rash. Allergic skin diseases can be treated with cholesterol, but it is best to avoid contact with allergens.
5. Strong ultraviolet radiation
Appropriate sun exposure is good for the health of dogs, but strong ultraviolet rays should be avoided. Dogs’ cuticles are thinner than humans. When ultraviolet rays are too strong, their skin may become red, swollen, itchy, and hairless, just like people’s sunburn.
