What vaccinations do dogs need?

Vaccines for dogs are mainly divided into rabies vaccine and infectious disease vaccine. Infectious disease vaccines are divided into five types according to the degree of epidemic prevention: two-combination, four-combination, five-combination, six-combination and eight-combination. It mainly prevents and treats canine distemper, parvovirus, coronavirus, leptospira, influenza, adenovirus, etc. The more links there are, the more diseases it prevents, but the stronger the medicine is.

It is recommended that dogs 3 months old should be injected with two drugs, and dogs after 3 months should be injected with four drugs. It is recommended that as they grow older, dogs can be injected with six to eight drugs. Generally, vaccinations require three injections of infectious disease vaccine and one injection of rabies vaccine in the first year, followed by a booster injection every year.

Notes on dog vaccination:

1. The dog needs to stay in the new home for more than 15 days, fully adapt to the home environment, and survive the stress period.

2. Internal and external deworming can be done in advance one week before vaccination, so as to eliminate parasites, make the body healthier, and the effect of vaccination will be better.

3. After the vaccination, pay attention to keeping warm. Keep the food, drink and environment the same as before within a week. Reduce going out, and you cannot take a bath within a week, and try to minimize contact with dogs outside.
