Why do Samoyeds catch colds?

Common clinical causes of Samoyed cold include canine distemper virus, parainfluenza virus, bacterial infection, mycoplasma and chlamydial infection. Samoyeds are exposed to pathogens, such as playing and living with sick dogs, or living in a dirty and messy environment, which will increase the chance of getting sick. Catching a cold is also a trigger for the respiratory system. When the temperature difference is relatively large in spring and autumn, if a Samoyed does not dry himself in time after taking a bath, he will easily catch a cold and then cause a cold.

Samoyed cold symptoms:

1. Not in good spirits and always want to sleep. Samoyeds are generally very lively and energetic. However, when Samoyeds catch a cold, they will be depressed and in poor spirits. They will always lie motionless on the ground, become sleepy easily, and are always sleeping, and they will not sleep well. The feeling of not being able to wake up.

2. Runny nose. Samoyeds will also have a runny nose when they are sick. When they have a cold, the nose will always be watery and transparent. If the nasal mucus is pus-like, please note that it may be canine distemper, and you should go to the pet hospital for treatment in time.

3. Coughing and sneezing. After catching a cold, Samoyeds will have symptoms of sneezing and coughing, difficulty swallowing food, throat discomfort, and may also experience vomiting.
