How do you know if your dog is finished giving birth?
If you have experience, you can first perform abdominal palpation to try to see if you can feel the fetus. If you have no experience, it is recommended to take it to a pet hospital and use DR to take frontal and side views to confirm whether there is still a fetus in the body. This diagnosis method is faster.

Generally, the interval between puppies is half an hour. When the last baby comes out, the placenta will be taken out for a long time, and the female dog will eat her placenta. If you see something with a long black tail like a snake coming out and the dog eats it, it usually means that the dog has given birth.

If there is still a fetus that has not been delivered and the fetus is in danger, a caesarean section can be performed immediately to remove the fetus. If possible, it is recommended to have a prenatal check-up around 50 days into pregnancy to confirm fetal activity and number of fetuses.
