How to train a dog to swim

Steps to train a dog to swim:
1. Choose a suitable swimming venue, preferably a place with shallow water for teaching.
2. Before the dog enters the water, the dog should be tied with a leash so that the owner can control the dog's direction and speed at any time.
3. The dog can wear a life jacket to prevent the dog from choking on water. If there is no life jacket, you can hold the dog's chest with your hands and let the dog kick its legs slowly.
4. After the dog can maintain balance, slowly release your hand and let the dog swim in the water by itself, and praise and encourage it in time.
5. Wait until the dog gets used to swimming in shallow water, then take the dog to a deeper place and use toys to induce it.
6. Repeat training until the dog can swim freely without help, which means it has learned it.
Precautions for dog swimming:
1. If the dog is sick, it cannot be allowed to swim to avoid aggravating the condition.
2. In the process of training your dog to swim, you must be patient and do not beat or scold it to prevent it from resisting swimming.
3. When the weather is bad, try not to take your dog to swim outdoors to prevent your dog from catching a cold.
4. When choosing a swimming venue, pay attention to check whether there are any sharp objects such as debris at the bottom to avoid injury to the dog.
5. After the dog finishes swimming, dry it in time to prevent the dog from getting cold and getting sick.
