Causes of urinary stones
Dog urinary stones are basically small gravels. The causes of urinary stones may be related to urinary tract infections, lesions, and mineral metabolism disorders. Excessive calcium content in dog urine, insufficient drinking water in summer, excessive salt concentration in urine, etc., can lead to the enlargement of stones.
Symptoms of urinary stones
Dogs suffering from urinary stones usually appear depressed, anorexic or stop eating, and are unwilling to exercise. The body temperature is generally normal in the early stage, and then increases. Dogs will have symptoms such as vomiting, difficulty urinating, and painful urination. The dog's urine will be drop-shaped or linear, and sometimes it will be bloody.
Urine stone treatment
1. Dogs that do not have urethral obstruction can be fed foods rich in vitamin A, Chinese medicine for removing stones, and plenty of cleaning of water and diuretics. 2. Dogs with urethra obstruction or large stones in the bladder should undergo surgery to remove the stones as soon as possible. After the surgery, you still need to pay attention to your daily diet. Stones are a disease that is very likely to recur and is difficult to cure.
