Little kittens need to bask in the sun. Kittens are relatively weak, so basking in the sun can enhance the cat's resistance. When the kitten is half a month old, it can be properly basked in the sun in a soft light place, no more than half an hour, and the light should not shine directly into the eyes. In summer, you need to avoid taking your cat to bask in the sun when ultraviolet rays are strong to prevent your cat from getting sunburned or suffering from heatstroke.
Benefits of cats basking in the sun:
1. Sterilization. Excessive sun exposure can not only kill parasites, mites, fungi, fleas, but also kill bacteria on the skin surface and in the hair.
2. Promote calcium absorption. Basking in the sun can promote the cat's calcium absorption, strengthen the cat's physique, and make the cat healthier.
3. Supplement vitamins. It can help it promote cortical production and secretion of vitamin D, so that when the cat licks its fur, it can better absorb vitamin D.
