Can dogs eat chocolate?

Dogs must not eat chocolate or other products containing chocolate. Chocolate is made from cocoa beans or is processed. The caffeine, theobromine and other methylxanthine derivatives contained in the cocoa beans will bind to certain receptors on the cell surface, thereby preventing the natural substances in the dog's body from interacting with Receptor binding can cause serious harm to the dog's health.

If the dog eats only a trace amount of chocolate by mistake, it will suffer from diarrhea, vomiting and muscle twitching. If the amount is slightly larger, it can cause epilepsy, and the dog may even die due to damage to the heart and nervous system.

What to do if your dog accidentally eats chocolate:

1. Induce vomiting multiple times and take the dog to exercise to spit out the chocolate as soon as possible .

2. Dilute by drinking plenty of water to reduce harm.

3. Take the chocolate wrapper to the veterinarian.
