How to treat parvovirus in dogs

Dogs with parvovirus need to be treated with infusion. To treat a dog's parvovirus, you must first stop eating and drinking. The owner cannot give medicine at will. The dog needs to be injected with serum or monoclonal antibodies against parvovirus, and at the same time, the dog must be injected with interferon. These drugs are generally only available in pet hospitals, so when a dog is found to have parvovirus, the dog must be sent to a pet hospital for treatment as soon as possible.

Tip:

Dog parvovirus, like canine distemper, is a highly contagious disease. It is usually more likely to occur in unvaccinated puppies. It is easy to get sick. Dogs suffering from parvovirus will have symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, fever, lethargy, and loss of appetite. In addition, in order to prevent the dog from becoming dehydrated, the dog also needs to be injected with glucose.
