Cat buries food

The reasons why cats bury their feces in food:

1. Cats bury their feces in food or they don’t like it. If the cat doesn't like the taste of the food, it may want to bury the food, or it may be a way of expressing dissatisfaction.

2. The cat buries food or eats alone. Cats that used to live in the wild were both predators and prey. In order to prevent the leftover food from being enjoyed by other predators, cats would find something to cover the food after eating. In multi-cat households, the cat still retains this behavior because it does not want to share its food with other cats.

3. Cats bury food or hide food. Cats all have the habit of hiding leftover food. If the owner prepares food that the cat likes, but cannot eat it at the moment, the cat will hide the food and eat it later.

How to correct the cat's burying of feces in food:

1. If you don't like the taste of the food, just bury the food in its feces. Then the owner needs to change the cat's food and prepare the food that the cat likes, such as chicken breast, beef, fish, shrimp, egg yolk, canned cat, nutritional paste, cat strips, dried fish, etc.

2. If it is out of the habit of hiding food, bury it in the food. So when the cat stops eating and there is still food in the bowl, the owner must remember to take it away immediately.
