In the early stages of enteritis, dogs will often lie on their stomachs on the cold ground and experience symptoms such as loss of appetite, indigestion, vomiting and diarrhea. When the condition worsens to the advanced stage, the dog will walk unsteadily, occasionally bleed, and have an elevated body temperature. In severe cases, the dog will also suffer from dehydration.
