What kind of dog crate should I buy? Basic considerations when choosing a dog crate

Choose a cage that is suitable for your dog according to its size

There is a saying that you should choose a cage that is three times the size of your dog, but how do you calculate three times? How big is it? In terms of volume, the top and corners of the cage are actually unusable spaces for dogs. Others say that it is just wide enough for the dog to turn around. I personally think it is relatively simple to choose the size if the length of the cage is twice the length of the dog, which should be more suitable for the dog. But if the dog you buy is a puppy, you must take its growth into consideration, so the cage must be purchased based on the adult size of the dog.

The strength of the dog cage

If you buy a cage, you will find that the quality of the cage is mainly iron, made of iron wire, or columnar square iron rods . For smaller dogs, you can use wire, but for larger dogs, you must choose square iron bars, which are much stronger than wire. The advantage of the wire is that it can be folded up if you don't need it. The iron rod cannot be folded. When I was a kid, there was a small cage with a pink square iron rod in our house. Although it was useless, it was discarded and wasted, so I left it at home.
