What to do if a cat accidentally eats wheat ears and gets stuck in its throat:
1. Grab the cat’s head with one hand and put your thumb and index finger on it. Use the palm of your hand to hold the rest of the cat's head behind its long fangs.
2. Gently tilt the cat back, face upward, and use your thumbs to grasp the cat's mouth to open its mouth.
3. Gently pull out the cat's tongue. If you can see the ears of wheat, try to remove the ears with your fingers or needle-nose pliers.
4. If you still can't remove the wheat ear, grab the cat's hind legs and turn it upside down and shake it vigorously. Patting it gently on the back while shaking can help the ears tip out.
5. If the wheat ear is still not removed, let the cat lie on its side, hold the last rib on both sides of the abdomen with your hands, and squeeze the abdomen quickly 3 to 4 times. If the wheat ear is still there, If it gets stuck, repeat the process.
6. If the wheat ears still cannot be removed, they should be sent to the hospital for treatment immediately.
