Does a dog need to get an injection if it bites a layer of skin?
1. Dogs are domestic dogs and have regular injections of rabies vaccine and internal deworming. .2. Rarely come into contact with other animals, and have not been hurt or licked by other animals recently.
3. The dog is in good health, has no cold, is in normal spirits, and has a normal appetite.
4. There are reasons for biting, such as being provoked or threatened; being pulled by force; deliberately irritating; competing for food; protecting children; being hurt, etc. The bite will be as active as usual after the bite.
If all the above conditions are met, no vaccination is required. The dog is basically healthy and does not carry transmissible rabies virus, and the chance of infection is extremely low.
Situations where a dog bites through a layer of skin and requires an injection
1. Bitten by a stray dog, a dog that has just been brought home and has not been vaccinated against rabies, or a dog that often eats raw meat .2. Dogs go out for walks and come into contact with other animals more frequently.
3. The dog staggers when it bites, or has cold-like symptoms.
4. Bite suddenly without warning.
5. Not sure about the vaccination status and health status of the biting dog.
Any of the above is a relatively dangerous situation. For safety reasons, rabies vaccination must be administered on time. After all, once infected with rabies virus, the mortality rate is 100%.
