Do cats sleep a lot?

Cats nap a lot. They can sleep for about 16 to 20 hours a day. Therefore, cats sleep almost most of the time, but they are only in deep sleep for about 4 hours, and the rest of the time is in light sleep. Cats are relatively lazy, especially newborn kittens and elderly cats, which sleep longer. Cats generally like to sleep during the day and be active at night.
