Cats are usually injected with feline triple vaccine and rabies vaccine. The triple vaccine is mainly used to prevent and treat the three major infectious diseases, feline rhinorrhea, feline calicivirus, and feline distemper. Cat rhinorrhea is an acute respiratory infection that is very similar to a cold, with coughing and increased eye secretions. Calicivirus also presents with respiratory symptoms and has a high incidence rate, but is rarely life-threatening. Feline distemper is equivalent to canine parvovirus, which mainly manifests as digestive tract symptoms, repeated diarrhea, vomiting, etc., with extremely high mortality and morbidity rates, especially in young cats. Therefore, the first cat triple injection should be given 45 days after the cat is born.
