Cats can receive uterine injectables when the placenta cannot be discharged and labor is weak. The uterine injectables can promote uterine contraction, speed up the discharge of the fetus and placenta, and avoid fetal asphyxia and death caused by dystocia. When a female cat has dystocia, if she has already given birth to several kittens but cannot give birth, she can be given a uterine injection. If the dystocia is due to other reasons, uterine injection is ineffective and she needs to be sent to the hospital for a caesarean section.
