How to teach an Akita dog to defecate

How to teach an Akita dog to defecate? Before taking the Akita dog home, first determine a place at home for the Akita dog to defecate; pay attention to the signals of the Akita dog defecating. When you find that the Akita dog shows signs of defecation, induce the Akita dog to go there. Defecate in a designated place and reward the Akita dog promptly afterwards. If the Akita dog defecates in the wrong place, just teach the Akita dog a serious lesson and do not beat or scold the Akita dog.

First, designate a place to defecate

Before taking Akita Inu puppies home, we need to find a place in advance, such as a corner or the toilet. It must be specified well, and do not modify it easily. In the future, the Akita puppy will be trained to urinate and defecate in this designated place.

At first, the Akita Inu puppies are not used to it, and they may even lose their temper, but it doesn’t matter. You must stick to this location. It is best to stay away from the dog’s food or kennel. Over time, the Akita Inu puppies will slow down. Get used to it slowly.

Second, induce Akita dogs to learn to urinate at designated spots

Generally, dogs will defecate within 30 minutes after eating or waking up. Using this feature, we can observe the performance of Akita Inu puppies and then lure them.

For example, we always keep an eye on the Akita dog after a meal or when he wakes up. Once we find that the little Akita dog is making movements to urinate, such as turning in circles or sniffing around. When you observe this action occurring, immediately guide the Akita dog, such as half pushing and half pulling, or pulling and coaxing, to guide the puppy to the right place.

At the same time, once the Akita dog urinates and defecates in the designated place, you must remember to encourage the dog, such as giving a favorite snack or a beef pellet or something to encourage it. Gradually, the Akita dog knows that it is correct to urinate here, and the good habit of urinating at a fixed point is developed.

Third, don’t beat or scold the dog

Don’t easily beat or scold the Akita dog for urinating or urinating, otherwise the dog will think that urinating and defecating is a "wrong thing". In the future, it will only dare to secretly urinate and defecate when the owner is not paying attention, which will be troublesome in the future training.

So when the little Akita dog pulls in the right place, the owner should give a lot of encouragement! If the little Akita pulls in the wrong place, just use a slightly serious tone (increase the volume) to say to the dog: "No!", and then hug the dog immediately. Just defecate in the right place. At the same time, excrement in the wrong place should be cleaned up immediately, and the area should be thoroughly deodorized (bleach + deodorant spray). This will prevent the Akita puppy from smelling the previous smell and pooping in the same place next time, which will make it difficult to correct it in the future.

Generally speaking, if you practice this repeatedly with Akita puppies for a few days, Akita puppies should be able to defecate at fixed spots.
