How to raise a border collie
1. Arrange the diet

Starting from the Border Collie puppies, feed the Border Collie at a regular time and at a fixed time. The puppies should eat 4-5 meals a day. After three months of age, it can be reduced to 3 meals a day. Adult dogs generally only need 3 meals a day. Just eat one meal. It should be noted that the dog must not overeat, and the amount of food must be controlled to prevent the Border Collie from gaining weight and losing his handsome, lively and healthy image. Except for professional dog food, our daily meals and snacks are not allowed to be fed to dogs, and some dog food may deteriorate quickly. Pay attention to the dog food that has gone bad and dispose of it immediately.

 2. Moderate exercise

The Border Collie cannot live without exercise during its growth. The Border Collie has a well-developed body and muscles. Allowing the dog a certain amount of exercise every day can promote bone development and make the dog grow stronger and more powerful. It is recommended to keep your dog outdoors for more than 30 minutes of exercise every day. Of course, if it is inconvenient, you can also conduct other physical training at home.

 3. Beauty and care

Border Collie’s hair needs regular care. As a long-haired dog, bathing the dog regularly can prevent some skin diseases and avoid body odor. At the same time, the kennel hygiene of the Border Collie must be good. The kennel should be located in a quiet, dry, and ventilated place. Sleeping mats and other items in the kennel should be changed frequently, and the kennel should be disinfected regularly.

4. Train your dog well

Border collies can already understand some languages when they are young. We can first train the dogs to learn to urinate and defecate at fixed points. When the dogs grow up, they can perform more difficult training, such as catching Frisbees, jumping, etc. . However, it should be noted that dogs may also have some bad behaviors in life. The owner must correct them in time after discovering them. They should not be too accommodating to the dog to prevent it from developing bad habits.
