Poodle recall training method:
1. You can first buy a longer dog leash and tie it around the dog's neck. Then you pull one end of the dog leash, gradually walk far away from the dog, and then face the poodle.
2. Then send out the "coming" signal. After giving the "come" command, make a gesture to let the dog come over at the same time. The gesture should be like greeting a child, with your right hand straight forward, palm down, and moving your palm up and down. If the poodle doesn't hear clearly or doesn't notice, continue to repeat the "come" command while matching the gestures.
3. If the poodle has no movement or reaction, you can gently pull the leash with your left hand. At the same time, you need to step back and let the dog come over; when the dog completes the action of coming, you should encourage it.
4. When the dog understands the "come" command, the dog owner can keep a certain distance from the poodle, then without pulling on the leash, give the command and make gestures to let the dog complete the action. Once the dog learns it, it can be directed to complete the action by just using the command without using hand gestures.
5. Finally, you can add toys for practice. That is to say, throw a toy, such as a small ball, and then give the dog the command "Pick it up!". After the dog catches the ball, the dog owner shouts "Come!" and the dog can pick up the ball. In fact, this is the basis of retrieval practice.
Tips: The password must be remembered by the dog and do not change it randomly. In the early stages of training, the dog must first clearly remember the password. Usually it means "come" or "come back". Dog owners cannot change them at will during training. The dog will not remember this.
