Can puppies eat cake?

Puppies are not allowed to eat cakes, mainly for the following three reasons:

1. Cake is a sweet food with high sugar and calorie content, which will cause gastrointestinal burden, especially for puppies. The ingredients of butter cannot be digested at all, and diarrhea and vomiting will occur. Even for adult dogs, excessive or frequent consumption can cause indigestion, food accumulation, abdominal distension and diarrhea.

2. Cake contains lactose. Many puppies are lactose intolerant. After eating cake, puppies may have diarrhea and vomiting. Some even contain ingredients such as chocolate and xylitol. If the dog eats them, it will increase the burden on the kidneys, cause poisoning and even endanger life.

3. Eating cakes will cause oral problems. In addition to causing discomfort to the body, it will also cause damage to the teeth, causing tooth decay, periodontitis, bad breath and other problems.

Tip:

If parents want to add some snacks to their dogs, they must prepare some reasonable ones that are good for the physical development of the dogs, such as Cooked chicken breast, or some salmon, or some pumpkin and beef, etc.
