3. Generally, the body temperature of a dog is between 38.5 and 39.5°C. Starting from the day of delivery, the body temperature of the female dog will gradually decrease, and the closer it is to delivery, the lower it will be. It may drop to about 36°C 24 hours before delivery.
Usually dogs usually start giving birth in the middle of the night or early in the morning, and not all female dogs will have the above symptoms at the same time. However, when you see these signs in your dog, you must be ready to deliver the baby at any time.
